ICICI is number 1 in card frauds. I had very very bad experience with ICICI Credit Card.
I had received call from bank that they are offering me life time free of cost credit card. I was aware that as per RBI rules, no company can issue lifetime free card. I asked her that I need written statement on this thing. She agreed. I asked her to collect my docs.
Person came to collect docs, I asked him to give me in writing about lifetime free card. He gave me that with his signature & id card copy.
I received card, I used it. When I received 1st statement, there was joining fees mentioned. I immediately called customer care & I asked them waive it off, I have written proof. If not waived, concern person will be behind the bars.
So they reversed the charges. Again after 1 year, annual fees charged. I again called to customer care. This time they didnt allow reversal. I lodged complaint but no response.
At the end, I asked my lawyer to give legal notice to ICICI & claim Rs 50, 000/- for mental harassment. In return, 1 person called & again asked for all of the proof I was having. I send him through email. After some day ICICI starts calling to negotiate with me. They started with Rs 2000/-. Final offer was Rs 5000/- worth of Big bazar voucher.
I rejected & asked "I think you forgot to add 1 more zero according to my claim".
Ultimately, I received no sign from them & I was asked to close down the card.
I immediately closed the card.
But its not professional way of doing business. These person are not concerned about problem faced by people like us.
So I do not recommend to get ICICI card.
