I'm one of the victims of this (barbadi ka card) from icici bank .They call it credit card .They gave me a mini credit card with 14000rs limit two yrs ago 2006 ./. I paid more than 60000rs till date. And finally I request to quit and submit the card by clearing the balance as I am salaried and I can't bare there hidden charges./. I called them(ICICI BANK) and asked for the same they said ok will close your account ./.But you need to pay all the charges at once which is Rs.30000. I was shocked to hear the dues which they maid out of there own laws. And when I asked to explain the charges. Their call centres employees had different reason everytime I called. And never explained the proper charges.
I refused to pay the amount till proper explanation of the dues./ they kept promising that i'll get a call with regards to my queries and kept giving me the reference no for the complains and kept sending me the bills with 5% increase in the due amount every other month. Finally from last three months I am getting calls from the collection agency to pay the rest of the amount. Now, due to frequent calls form recovery agents I stopped answering the call form unknown numbers ./. last month I got a sms message form icici bank saying thank you for the payment of 1000rs with regards to my c card././which I never paid ././it seems they are gaining time to increase my dues.
I am least bother to contact them due to their low standard customer service as their systems are always under upgradation. The most shocking incident happened this month (nov 08) that they blocked my salary account saying I need to pay the dues otherwise they will eat my salary like this. Please suggest me something positive. Otherwise I will die due to their(ICICI BANK) harassment. As I drive my home and I didn't even have money to pay this months rent.
