ICICI credit card - cheats consumers. Review on ICICI Bank Visa Credit Card

ICICI BAnk is extracting money - read the report.

1. I was issued with ICICI - Airtel Reward Credit Card on 01 / 01 / 05. 2. Name Card No. Valid Form Valid Thru Type Shweta Soni 5177 1960 0187 4009 01/05 01/09 Master Card Abhishek Soni 5177 1960 0187 4108 01/05 01/09 Master Card 3. I was then currently working in Design Plus , Satish Gujral Studio In Okhla Industrial Estate as An Interior Designer. 4. I found illegal usage of the card in September - October 2005 and reported the same to Customer Care Center. 5. No action taken, I got busy with my marriage preparations and got married on 4th December 2005. 6. I had refused to accept bills sent by corrier and had cut the cards and sent it to Mumbai head office. 7. I went abroad on 6th Dec. 2005 with my husband for 10 days. 8. My mother unaware of the situation recieved the bill and paid minimum amount due , i.e. Rs. 1080/- on 9th Dec. 2005. 9. On return I checked the bill, found the illegal usage and reported again. a) 27th Dec.2005 - my sagan function - petrol filling at gurgaon airport b) Hydrabad Transactions - never visited Hydrabad . c) Daily Petrol Filling of Rs. 310/- at Gurgaon Airport.

   
   

   d) 6th Dec. -15th Dec.-I was in Thailand - Transactions shown in India. 10. I sent my request to block the card on 18th January 2006. 11. No action taken , kept repeating the request every 15 days. 12.No action taken , was sent bills continuosly through corrier andexecutives kept disturbing my mother at odd hrs. for bill payment,inspite me reporting the change of adress. 13. Spoke to senior executives In Hyderabad & Mumbai.

   
   




2. They sent me 12 previous months bills copy for my confirmation and dispute form, which was unreadable because of bad photo-copying. 15. I managed to get a dispute form on own from ICICI bank branch in New Friends Colony, New Delhi. 16.Sent a complaint Letter along with dispute form and 12 months billcopies marked with my transaction & illegal transactions done on 21st April 2006. 17. Hydrabad - ICICI Head Office recieved this mail By corrier on 29th April 2006. 18. No news and no action from ICICI bank. 19. Recieved legal notice from their lawyers on 18th September 2006 to clear my outstanding dues of Rs. 40,388/-. 20.I contacted Collection Manager Cell , Videocon Towers, JhandewalanExtension, New Delhi -55. Was informed that the dispute had alreadybeen solved in the favour of the bank and since the payment has beendelayed on my end the amount has increased from Rs. 12,000/- to Rs.40,000/-. 21. I was called by Mr. Mukesh from ICICI Collection Branch Office in Jhandewalan today i.e. 12th October 2006,asking to visit them and settle the case outside court for Rs.22,000/- ( very strange ont heir part, inspite I took no action, thatmeans they know they are at fault. ) Very Important Note : Theday the notice was sent, my mother was called up 5-6 times during theday by a lawyer who refused to reveal his identity , stating that anarrest warrent has been issued against me and I will have to come up infront within 1 hour , not even telling for what case. My mother almost fainted and had low Blood pressure the entire day. When we tracked his number, he stated to be a lawyer and said that this was regarding ICICI payment due. I being married had a very shamefull and aukward situation to face in front of my Husband & In-Laws. Iinspite of paying more than I spent through credit card ( i.e. minimumamount due every month ) was not even informed about the dispute beingsolved and was straight sent a notice after 6 months and a notice alongwith an arrest threat. I along with my mother have seriously been mentally Tortured, to which seek your help. They have now come to half the price and asking me to come to their head office. I seek my over-paid money to be refunded and along with compensation for being harassed so much for a year. Isit my fault that they did not block the card even after my continousrequest to do so. I had co-operated so much with them, called up allpossible head offices, even today I was willing to settle outside courtand now they ask me to pay up Rs. 22,000/-. I should be compensated for Rs. 40,000/- ( which they are now demanding from me for no reason). I have full proof :- a) Passport b) Visa for Thailand c) Complaint letter sent in the month of April d) Bill copy. Please do let me know if any of the above documents is required by you. I am looking forward for your support & help before they send me another notice/warrent/threat call. Please I hope you will definately come up with a solution to this. I have full faith in you.
