For people who have mentioned their office or business address while applying ICICI Bank Credit Card, they need to read this.
*Employees:
*If your office does not entertain people/salesman/verification officers of their employees, it is likely that your Credit Card request will be turned down even if you have valid documents stating your employee hood.
Businessman:
It is very common for a businessman to have a registered business address that is not same as the actual business address. Or it may also be that your business address is not attended by an educated personnel(factory, etc.)
For them, it is unlikely that your Credit Card request will be processed.
*My Case:
I applied for a Credit Card from my branch in February 2007. I had no response from then for a month. In March I inquired and they said that your business address verification had failed. I explained that I am relocating my office and it is in a transition state. There is no educated staff in me previous office and my office address change request is still being processed by KMC. I offered to esort the verification officer to both my offices once he visits my residence. The process was re-initiated on March 14th and guess what. till today there had been no communication from ICIC except an SMS stating "New Credit Card Processing Request has been initiated"!
In order to avoid any issues(that are so very common with these Credit Cards) I have asked them to stop any Credit Card related processing for me and that they also send me a document/fax stating that no Credit Card was issued to me. I am yet to receive any reply.
