Going by the number of negative comments, I was compelled to share my own experiences with ICICI Banking Services. To be frank, until one gets stuck, nobody would take the pain to write a review.
To begin I have multiple accounts with 4 different banks and 2 credit cards from ICICI. I will be talking about ICICI HP CORAL CREDIT CARD.
The particular is different from standard Coral Credit Card, with reduced joining/renewal charger. (199/- in this case). The card gives me 2.5% (limited to 200Rs max per month) cash back on fuel bills spent at HP petrol pumps with no Surcharge! No renewal charges, if the total spent on previous year exceeds 50K(a nominal fee if you ask me). There's a 100 Rs off on movie tickets as well. Every month I save 200 buck on tickets.
I had applied for this card through walking into one of the branches, no telemarketing calls!
Till now, in my total 14 years of relationship with ICICI there have not been a single instance where I was required to complain. No wrong billing, complete online control of the cards/accounts. For an informed customer, I don't think you can choose anything better than ICICI. In comparison, ICICI's Android App and online banking interface is light years ahead of even its closest competitor - HDFC. My advice, to avoid any issues, always take the initiative to research online and then only make an informed and wise decision.
