I am holding a ICICI Bank Credit Card for last 15 months. I applied for a Gold Card through their DSA. But I got a ordinary card with limit of 10, 000 only (Mothly Take Home Salary - 60K). I really donot know the logic of fixing the credit limit. Now let's forget about the credit limit, it's banks discretion. The actual problem that I faced in last 1 month is given below.
1.Issue Background: I paid in full for one statement through check. Remember, I can not deposit cash as it attracts a penalty of Rs.100 (Again a stupid Policy). The cheque was dishonoured by my bank. Reason - Amount in words and figure does not match (It is again a stupid reason as I am sure I can not make blunders like this). Then I paid the tatal outstanding with late & other applicable charges.
Problem: As the cheque bounced and I subsequently paid off all the dues, the cheque that was rejected by my back become my property, but ICICI bank is not returning the cheque to me. When contacted they are saying that they will not return the dishonoured check as it is ICICI's property? Can any legal expert just guide me? I firmly believe that the dishonoured check is my property as I have already cleared the dues. Further I require that cheque to check with the bank as to why they rejected the cheque. But ICICI is not even giving me a copy of the check even after several requests.

Back Ground: I requested ICICI bank to enhance my credit limit. They advised me to fax a copy of my latest payslip to their mumbai number and given me a service request. I faxed the payslip. Till now no response from ICICI.
