On one ''not so fine day'', I dropped my ICICI Payment cheque in cheque box in ICICI ATM to clear my dues.
It had been days after that and I dint receive any confirmation message on Cheque acceptance regarding that cheque from ICICI. I called them up only to find that they dint receive my cheque. I rushed to the source bank and made a ''STOP PAYMENT'' for that cheque for which they charged me 25/=. Otherwise that cheque could have been misused. I dropped another cheque and tracked its status through ICICI. Happy that the second one was received and successfully processed.
In the mean time ICICI charged me late payment fee and corresponding interest charges. I made a complaint to ICICI about their negligence and asked them for immediate withdrawal of Late payment fee and the interest for which they said that interest rates could not be withdrawn. I made repeated requests for the withdrawal and that fell on their deaf ears.
I have spent so much money and time for the phone calls, tolerated mental agony for their negligence (the sum was huge), paid STOP PAYMENT charges..... for their RUDE SERVICE. Kindly Track the Status of Cheque for your credit card after it has been dropped... NO MATTER WHAT CREDIT CARD YOU HOLD
