Good Card with some aches. Review on ICICI Bank Visa Credit Card

I have been using ICICI bank credit card for the last 1.5 years. My experiences with ICICI Bank card is as follows.

Features/Services that credited:

1. Still now I have not been wrongly charged. No annual fee, joining fee, wrong billing etc.

   
   




2. I have Big Bazaar card. At the time of joining I got 250/= Bigbazar voucher and free sugar for 12 months.

   
   




3. 4 rewards points(I have silver card then) for every Rs 100 spent in Bigbazar and 1 point for spent in others.

   
   




4. I am getting my statement on time(at least 12 days before the due date). They also sent the statement, alert through mail as well as through SMS. After payment they send a acknowledgment through SMS and mail.( I also have TATA/SBI Card that does not provide this facilities)

   
   




5. I have redeemed my points to BigbazarVoucher(Rs 100 voucher for every 120 points) and they send me the voucher within 3 days(i really impressed).

   
   




6. I canceled one of my ICICI card through online and they canceled the card with 15 days with acknowledgment through mail and SMS. Cancellation is easy and can be done by online request.

   
   




7. When I placed a online request to upgrade the Silver card to Gold card(bigbazar) they sent me the new card within 10 days with 12 kg free Sugar coupon. I sent them a mail that they did not send me the 250/= coupon as promised in the Card Booklet they sent it within 5 days. These services really impressed me.

   
   




8. There online payment system through ICICI bank is really good and provide every details(unlike SBI card that is not at all user friendly)

   
   

Features/Services that debited:

1. Basically I opt for only a Bigbazar Silver card but they send me one Bigbazar card, one Online Card, One HPCL Card. When I asked them the reason they could not provide any satisfactory reason at all.

   
   




2. Their Customer Care not very much knowledgeable. They just forward the call from this to that.

   
   




3. I applied for a Titanium card and placed a request through online and for last 1 months I am getting only one reply they will revert back to me within 5 days. I am concern that it may happen in case there is any serious problem.

   
   




4. Credit card dept share their customers' contact number with other ICICI dept like Lombard Insurance etc. I get unwanted telemarketing from those dept.

   
   




5. The reward points is costly. Except bigbazar reward points you can get 1 points for each Rs 100 spent by ICICI card. When you want to redeem those point for any thing other than Bigbazar voucher then you can find that the cataloged products are highly priced as well as 1 points equivalent to as low as 40-50 paisa.( In TATA Card 1 points equivalent to 1 Rs).

   
   




6. Online payment facility is only possible from ICICI Bank(except Visa Transfer).(For SBI/TATA card payment can be done from other banks account also. So you have a choice)
