I have just got through IBS hyderabad and I choose their course even though I had converted calls from Symbiosis, SCMLD and a few others.The thing which impressed me is that they interviewed about 800 students per day for about 12 days and of course made a lot of money but everything was well managed.Besides that 200 odd companies coming for recruitment every year,it surely isn't just any other B-School.For those of us who are not aware they have placement meetings centrally once in every month or so. The way they have optimized on their product is by providing quality along with having benefits of scale. All the aspiring managers must have got the point.They charge huge amounts as the demand is high,they sell their product as the marketing is huge and they ensure certain standards so that the demand is stable.For instance facilitating 700 students in a management programme is no joke.You really need to have some potential.As far as the money factor is concerned -They're really doing smart business and are a practical example of how to flourish by product differentiation.I'm sure their managers learn the same and make a mark.Invest about 7 lakhs for two years along with a lot of hard work and rest assured you'll win back the amount in another two.So,it is a gamble, if you're ready to play... go for ICFAI.
