Thiruvananthapuram India
Time to reshuffle error prone umpires

Let us put it straight, the ICC umpires are not the best who are in business. Some of the decisions given out by those in the elite panel are baffling. To err is human but to err again and again is unpardonable. To some country's misfortune, these incompetent umpires seem to follow them to every nook and corner of the world, giving horrendous decisions. It is very demanding excercise for these umpires to officiate matches on tours which are often crammed with surfeit of one-day internationals and Test matches with little rest in between. Like cricketers they also need rest. ICC should rotate umpires after every Test match and one-dayers and see that the same umpire does not officiate the match involving say a particular country for more than one series. Indian fans have enough reasons to feel aggrieved when they find Ashoka De silva give horrendous decisions every time he officiates an India match. Same with Pakistan who may view Venkatraghavan with a suspicious eye. ICC should after the World Cup review its panel and throw out incompetent umpires. Certainly, Ashoka De Silva, Russel Tiffin, Peter Willey are not the best from their respective countries.
