My husband is working in this company from 7 years with no promotion. He is very hardworking and always get the good feedback of clients and work 7 days a week. in short no personal life left, last year in the beginning his manager inform him that very soon he will get promotion but after receiving 5 star ratings he again informed we dont have any senior position open as of now so he cant get any promotion right now , after long wait there is no news.
Infact no body discuss about it .In summer 2012 when he was searching a new project then his people manager force him to join a project with onsite opportunity in UK as we just came back from USA last year and got settled in India and didn't want to relocate again but his people manger said either join the project or resign because you cant refuse a project for your personal reasons and he was also told that my husband need to go onsite only for 6 to 8 months.
My son was going to school in new term of 2012 , anyways in hope that we will come back to India for next term we shift to UK .now my husband visa is due to September 2013 and he is completing 6 months in summer. My husband is a single resource in onsite for his project there is no backup for him so he again ask to go back to India in summer so that his management can arrange a resource for project in time but what happen now, his manager said you cant go back to India untill your visa expire .now we are feeling like prisoner here that we cant go back to our own home country India for my son new school sessions which is due in july, do any one know about any work around for ibm India UK onsite policy? Do they hav the right to force us to stay here like this?
