Story:

I hadn't read Sachin Garg's earlier novel, 'A Sunny Shady Life' claimed to be a bestseller earlier, but after reading this one, I am sure to get hold of a copy of that.

This is a refreshing new story and though the author is a guy, the central character is a lady named'Saumya.' That certainly gives the story a break from a commonplace'boy meets girl' love story to a more intriguing'girl meets boy' type of not so much of a love story. Saumya, after graduating from a MBA school gets a job in a steel plant far off in Karnataka. The story revolves about her life in the steel plant and the men whom she meets namely Malappa and Shubhro who come from entirely different worlds.

The characters are interesting and neatly created by the author. It isn't a mushy type of love story, but there are vivid descriptions of blood and gore associated with accidents in the steel plant. The story has a flow and keeps you engrossed.

I would certainly recommend this one. And by the way, I have been reading Srishti books for a while and though the production isn't great, the stories churned out by young Indian authors are certainly worth reading. The stories are contemporary, entertaining and compelling. Srishti, however should focus a little on publicity, else most readers would miss such gems in the otherwise mediocre Indian lierary circle.
