I started watching the I love Lucy show when I was a kid and they still have re-runs on all the time plus I have bought some vcr tapes of the show and made some of my own. I never get tired of them and must have watched every single episode ever made at least a hundred times.
Lucy of course is played by Lucille Ball and she always wants to get into acting and will go to any length to try and talk her husband Ricky into letting her be on his shows or shows that he is in. Ricky was played by Desi Arnez who was from Cuba and was also Lucy's real life husband.
Ethel played by Vivian Vance was Lucy's best friend, landlady and Lucy always got her into all of her schemes.
Ethel's husband Fred played by William Frawley was Ricky's friend and of course always on his side so it was the men against the women and who could outwit who.
There are so many episodes that come to mind when I think of this show and all just as funny as the next.
One that comes to mind is when the foursome went to Italy and Lucy wanted to get in a film so decided to go out and mingle with the local people and ended up at a winery where she was in the tub squashing grapes with her feet and she was all messy and clothes ragged when she got back to the hotel and that was when the producer of the show was there waiting for her and she didn't get the part but her friend Ethel did.
I am sure that everyone in the states has seen this show but not sure about people in other country's but if you get a chance to see the show I highly recommend it and you will laugh so hard you'll feel good all over just watching.
I should say a lot of these shows are in black and white as they are very old.
Many took place in New York City, and others traveling in other countries.
