Its been over 11000/ kms on this car , its simply great driving the i20 , amazing control , cuts neat on the curves excellent suspensions except that they are not meant for some of our indian roads ya most of the high ways qualify for this car. but not all with deep trenches called pot holes. :) the miliage is decent 12 to 13 city highway must b more but since am a rash driver never miss an opportunity to speed ..so dint bother checking ..

Its controls are great the dash board buttons are well placed the music system controls on the steering feels like a Civic . the wind shield water dispenser runs for really long .. chaltha hi jaye... am glad some people noticed the steering gets tough when stopped and tried to restart.

I felt this too, but felt it was a intentional feature add , i have noticed in high speed the easy power steering(on i20) does very little to instill confidence in driving, where as Swift would feel very hard and sturdy on high speed and easy on v low speed I guess its 2 different school of thoughts one who feel high speed sturdy steering and low speed easy steering(suzuki) while the other (hyundai ) who feels low speed sturdy steering high speed easy, personally I would prefer the former.

Secondly I have noticed the driver side window when raised and if obstructed by ur hand or any object would retreat/ lower, this happens only with the driver side window not all 4 (safety should be for all right? not just the driver ), also the window lock button(centralised) disables the widow buttons for the rear seat but not the seat at the glove compartment. talk about the cooled glove compartment which I dint find v useful may be some one reading this would but it has a provision for light the indian version does not sell with the lights ull see a cavity there but the manual provided along with the car explicitly show the light then Y ?

Grrrr. Hyundai ....that was cheepo not much saving for a huge org when ur selling a product soo expensive .. . my car Never auto locked (door)when I speed up beyond 40 kmph had to manually lock the driver side of the door to ensure all the doors are locked got it fixed on my first service they had to reprogram the code probable not the release version :D also the central locking does not beep while locking or unlockeing :( this is not a snag am told its never intended to beep.....

Well i'd attribute most of this to poor coding.. the korians probably should have hired a indian to code ... :D the Dash board looks great but turns a little cheepo with the unusual red colour backlight very similar to suzuki A-star red backlights, some how doesnt do much to add value to its plush looking interiors the red colour looks gaudy , apart from the above..

The Car as such is a pleasure to drive, pick up not as great as a swift the gear throws are perfect feels like a car from a class above itself I20 is a gem of a car a sure mile stone in Car design and technology. oops one more down side is its kinda heavy on the pocket for a long while I guess i20 was the costliest hatch back in india but with the release of the jazz and the punto the scale of the mid size cars pricing has been tipped higher and the new scales have put i20 in the middle of the segment the cheapest hatch back being the Uva and swift then come s the i20 then the punto and finally bada baap the Jazz I guess going forward people would feel this is ok to pay as much given its luxuries and features the high pricing of the jazz and punto will only do good for the i20.finally the top speed ive hit on this is 165 on the electronic city flyover...:)

Overall its a great vehicle with little competition .one more point I may want to add is the ground clearance technically may be similar to swift but since the suspensions are softer than swift ur likely to hit the ground more often than on a swift thats the downside of it but the upside the small pot holes and rubble u run over u barely can make out sitting inside were as in ur swift its more of a sport vehicle u ll feel every bump on the road but I love a sift too .. my bro has one I love to drive it .. for its sporty feel the i20 is more of a luxury hatch .so these cars UVA Swift and i20 though loose in competition in certain segments gain in the others . its a one man market research the criterias are what I felt was needed . (the best being 10 )
