I had a dekko of the i20 at Advaith Hyundai on ORR in Bangalore last Sunday.First off the car looked simple a little too simple if you compare the competition in the class - Swift / Fabia / Stile/Indica .The lines are simple and uncomplicated. Clean work but too simple .
Now the car does look good from te front and at hte back too its nice looking. side profile is average so as a result the perspective profile is bit fo a let down.
Inside - Thje console is highly modernised. A few mins back I read a review which said tat the console was a bit lifted out of the old Honda City. Maybe true to some extent. Have to check it out else please havea compare yourselves.
The new features like electrical mirrors, driver seat adjust etc are very good . Audio is common in all models. The proven Kappa engine is powering hte car so now we know what exactly it can do on the road.I could not take for a test drive but if te suspension etc is taken from the GGetz then this will be worth it
Seating is very comfortable inside . The boot space is not much but can eb increased by the 60:40 seats which are fully foldable.
What put me off is the price tag 6.6lacs for hte middle model The Fabia is in tne same price range and is a fully imported unit with the same price range so I dont agree for this price for a car manufactured in India.
Else seems to be a good car . Now I have colleague who has a a i10 and on te highway he says he s clocked about 17 - 18 tops for the litre. Check out that part too
