I bought i10 two weeks before. I am satisfied with the dealer and customer support. My family likes the car very much as it is good in looks and also smooth in drive. But I found a major flaw in i10 which is not mentioned anywhere in the websites.

Normally all cars like Santro, Wagon R or many others, there are 2 buttons near driver seat

  1. to open fuel tank lock

  2. to open Dikki(back door)

While in i10, there is no button to open the back door(Dikki) and Dikki is treated in the same manner as other doors of the car. I am surprised that how Hyundai did such a big mistake. Suppose, I am driving on road and for some reasons, I have to unlock the doors at red light or at side of road to allow any pessanger to come out, then I have to use the UNLOCk button at driver seat. Due to which all doors of car will unlock and also Dikki(back door) gets open too. If at the same time, anyone open Dikki from behind, no one in the car got an idea and your articles placed in Dikki are gone in few seconds especially in a city like delhi.

The driver needs to be very alert and attentive and he is the totally responsible person for the safety of articles putting behind the seats(in Dikki). This is the quality Hyundai want to be in i10 driver.

If by driver side door lock is open, it means Dikki is open and any person tries to take out any article from Dikki, then in that case, I want to ask Hyundai people that what they want. Do driver have to run for the thief or driver has to take care of the car.

I must say that it is a wonderful car with a nonsense feature.

I talked the same with customer care of Hyundai but they tried to avoid taking about this. I want Hyundai to contact me and make me understand why they did such a nonsense thing in this car and what is the solution.
