VERNA - YOU COULD LOOK FURTHER. Review on Hyundai Verna

Well! 36000 kms down. Has been a wonderful experience. Maintaining the car is not expensive at all. Spare parts are cheap. The car runs very well.

AC is very good. Engine noise very low, vibrations, suspension issues NIL. Reliability factor is very high. Mileage is okay. 10/11 kms to a litre in city with AC on at all times.

but.there are somethings I just don't like. Headlights are poor. Car gets unstable at speed. Body roll is high at speed. You will have some uncomfortable situations. Brakes are okay; not confidence inspiring.

Overall the Verna Petrol XXi is a good car. I had decided to change but I found no strong reasons to replace it. So I bought another Car to give it company!

Verna Petrol XXi - I bought this car after I sold my Honda City EXi. Wanted to go for the diesel but I have always preferred petrol cars so decided to try this big mama from Hyundai.

The Verna design though not anything to write home about, is simple. Clean exterior lines with a well- proportioned body. No matter where you go, the Verna, should be an eye-catcher and a stare-grabber.The interiorsare okay!Compared to other Hyundai vehicles, the Verna sees substantial improvement in the quality department. The carhas better finish and details have been worked out well.

Comfort level of the Verna is quite impressive. A keyless entry, clever use storage space right under the steering wheel, a tilt power steering that keeps you firmly in control, a new three-way nozzle for better wash and wipe and a fully automatic temperature control system makes you feel comfortable inside. Front seat passengers will be impressed by the cabin’s width, the seats have a lot of travel and in the XXi model which has seat height adjusters, a very comfortable driving position can be found. Comfort and space on the rear seats is also good. although you sit relatively lower, you don’t get that sitting-on-the-floor feeling like in the Accent and Elantra. The backrest is well inclined but taller passengers in the rear might find the roof too close for comfort. The seats, however, are very soft and though they are comfortable over short periods, longer stints in them are likely to cause some discomfort.

The car has sufficient power to support the AC and there is no drag on switching on the AC.

The ride is very smooth and handling is comparable to cars in its class. A much-improved suspension over the Accent and good 65/70 profile tyres has gone a long way to make this car comfortable on Indian roads. The driving position is comfortable and is augmented by height adjustment feature of the driving seat.

Thepetrol engine is a powerful performer, saving fuel at low rpm and extremely responsive at high rpm. I

Well after so many kms on the odo it is now looking quite old and in comparison to the many new cars available in the market today it rather looks out of place. Surely look further.
