Horrible Dealership of Hilton Hyundai. Review on Hyundai Verna

After reading a number of reviews, opinions and comparisons I went for Verna 1.6i as a marriage gift to my sister. My nearest dealer was Hilton Hyundai(karunagappally, kerala) and next to that popular hyundai. I was very unfortunate to choose Hilton hyundai as my dealer. Right from the day of taking the test drive these people kept me waiting.

Before booking the vehicle I asked about the offers and accessories. the sales person offered me heavily including an MP3 player and half insurance. But when I reached the showroom my sales guy wasn't present and another person handled all the papers. on the documents the offer was only half insurance and basic accessories. when I phoned my executive he told me that its ok and he will correct it. I paid an advance and made booking on 30th oct. 14 days was the waiting period for a bright silver coloured verna. and after 4 days when I phoned him again he told me that he cannot provide MP3 player.

I gave written letter to cancel the booking and go with popular hyundai. Even after 5 days after cancellation there was no response and when I phoned the head office at trivandrum an accountant lady heard all my problems and told me that she will ask her manager to call me back. further 2 days of waiting, no response to my mails and calls I went to the show room and the sales guy told me that he didnt forward my cancellation letter to head office and that he will include MP3 player in the offer.

I agreed and on Nov 22nd the guy informed me that bright silver is not available with hyundai and since the marriage was getting closer I had to resettle with dynasty red colour. Even then the delivery date was extended several times by the dealer and finally I informed them on 1st dec that If I dont get the vehicle on 3rd dec(sisters marriage on 4th dec) I wont accept the vehicle. Nothing happened and the delivery was not made on time. The showroom guys offered me another verna for display at the wedding function. I had to accept since I had no other go. And after all drama I got the vehicle on 4th dec evening and when I asked about the accessories he told me it was 7500 rs and an MP3 player. I told him several times to give me half insurance(9500 rs) and MP3 he was rock solid on his stand. He even hesitated to arrange for the registration.

I am cheated by this unprofessional dealers. I want to warn all the kerala hyundai buyers to watch out for Hilton hyundai and their petty tricks to impress customers with big offers and later to cheat them by all means. After taking the vehicle Hilton never made a phone call to enquire the status of vehicle delivery. And one more thing which put me in deep anxiety is the Hilton maintenance service section. Don't ever think that u can solve the problem by calling the top manager of hilton. I phoned him 2 times(in a gap of two days) and got the same reply " I am on meeting with Hyundai Vice President". It felt funny to me. I remember the sweet experience I had (and still having) with another dealer from where I bought my Alto LX.

Anyway I am satisfied with the overall performance of my car. mileage around 13 Km for my munnar trip which is a hill station.
