I bought the Tucson because I wanted a SUV. The Endeavour was outdated. The Safari was well . not good enough. The Scorpio .No Sir not for me, and the Honda CRV only had petrol versions. The Tavers were all taxis.
First the Bad news,
a) At around 18.00 Lakhs (with some extras) - on the road it is an expensive vehicle.
b) Every thing in it is imported, so even for floor mats, be prepared to wait.
c) Too much space inside the bonnet for rats and other animals to build homes, if you leave it unattended for a few days.
The Good Part.
It is tough vehicle. With a lot of safety features. The service is typical Hyundai. Cannot complain. But could be better. Having seen the likes of Ford and Tata's service this is better but cannot match the service given by some Maruthi dealers.
Very Spacious. Good boot space. Quite nippy on the highways and rock steady at 150 kmph. Quite a drag inside the city though. Tires are suspect. No ready indegenous models. The dealers will ripp you off when you have to change the tyres.
Music system is in built. So if you have to change it, it is quite a bother. The system given with the vehicle is a old model. It has no USB port. The speakers are shivering after two months of use.
Folks who like SUVs should buy this. Good on the highways. Safe as a house. 3 Adults can sit in the second row and there will room for a fourth one too if one squeezes.
Thats about it. Will keep adding.
