Hi All, I have been reading lot of reviews recently and here I am finally writing a review after a long time.
We decided to buy a Car in dec 2008. We zeroed onto Alto, Santro, Spark, i10.
I choose Santro because it was better in Power & Space than Alto. Spark was ruled out since the dealer closed, also GM service is big issue. i10 is good and has advanced features but we didn't fint it appealing from outside, but in all fairness it is better than Santro and can improve on it outer looks to become more popular. But Santro was choosen since we had limited Budget and Santro appealed to everyone, many of my family members, relatives have it.
We went to the two Hyundai showrooms in Bangalore, Advaith & Trident. Both were good but the latter was slightly better in communication & service. We asked first about the entry level Santro which as advteristed for Rs 2.99L but it was out of stock in both the dealars. I didn't like this thing about company where the most advertised model is out of stock.
Also, when we asked about the choices for the GL, GLS models then the choices for the color were almost the same. There was a 25k discount on GLS and many features(like PowerWindowes, Body Color Bumber, Side Mirror Control, Front Grill) and therefore we went with it. Since I wanted to go for Silver color so therefore I went with Adviath otherwise Trident is better. The delivery was on time and overall happy with dealer. I had done one service in Trident, which was very well done. Overall very please with the Car since it is very easy to drive, has good pickup, gives good milage, can carry 5 people and overall a good entry level car.
Hyundai has been making better value for money car than Suzuki. thats my personal opinion. Suzuki models enjoys better service support & milege. I think there is lot of potential in Hyundai to give a tough fight to Suzuki if it continues to lauch new models like i10, i20 in India. Right now Suzuki is catch up with them by launch Ritz. But only time will tell which one will fare better.
I my case I am totally satisfied and happy customer of Hyundai. Atleast in India they seem tobe doing good.
