Hyundai is another company which has lost the faith of its customers after Maruti, Maruti just 2 hours before the launch of Indica in year 1998 had reduced its prices by approx 25K, the same happend with Santro, with the launch of Swift, they reduced the prices (which they hiked in the month of March 2005 in the wake of inctreading raw material prices), they slashed them by approx 25K with increase in the facilities and better engine and other stuff, think of the customers who must have bought Santro cars from April to May 2005, they feel not just pissed off but also with this most of them I have met, are planning to go legal,
How do these manufacturers function, what is the strategy, is it all confined only sell cars and not the faith of the customers who are buying them, a car bought by me today is not known whether the rates get slashed by whatever amount tomorrow, as an arch rival is about to introduce a car shorly, I think, this ditching your existing customers and the customers instead of trusting these type of manufacturers place their faith in th companies who contend that the prices are proportionate to their raw materials and not the stupid market strategies.
