When hyundai launched santro it was directly in competition with maruti suzuki 800.maruti suzuki was the hosehold name for cars in india but santro broke all records for best seller and won best car for many years.that was in its inital phase.now a days with many options available in market this car is long forgotten.my first car was santro.
And I still use it but as comparing with other new models out in india with same price range this car is lacking behind by a mile.mileage of around 14 in cities and around 19 on highway is good for petrol version but now woth era of desiel cars people preffer more mileage with looks and comfort.santro with its design is still very beautiful and compact car.leg space is ok u can fit 4 people along with driver with decent built.i still love the head clearence of this car, a man with 6 ft of height can comfortably sit.this is car for common man for daily work but with hyundai launching eon and i10 the days of golden era for santro has come to end.
