I was looking for buying automatic car for my wife. She was driving Alto K10 and want to move to automatic as she had developed knee pain. We shortlisted Honda Jazz CVT, Honda Brio automatic and Hyndai Grand i10 Asta automatic. We were inclined to buy Jazz or Brio as we have been driving Honda City from last 9 years without any problems. I asked Honda sales person to provide contact of two person who are using Jazz and Brio automatic to get feedback.
I keep getting call from sales person for asking my decision to buy Jazz car but he failed to provide any contact numbers:-(. I was not a fan of Hyundai but finally we took test drive of Grand i10 asta automatic and liked it. Interiors are good, spacious and loaded with features. Also received good feedback from my friend who is having Grand i10 automatic from last 2 years. Finally bought Grand i10 asta automatic for Rs 6.9 lacs on road price after discount on Diwali. After driving for 500 Kms in last one month, haven't faced any problems. Got mileage of 12.4 Km/l. My friend told me that mileage would be around 12 to 13 Km/l in city driving. I feel suspension of Hyundai vehicle is soft as compared to Honda.
In May'16, completed 3000Km without any technical issues. During peak summer with AC on, Car is giving mileage of 11.0 to 11.5 km/L
Completed 5400 Kms in Dec'16. I am getting mileage of 11 Km/L in short distance city driving and 14.0 to 14.5 Km/L on highway.
In Feb'18, after driving for just 9300 Kms, silencer exhaust pipe developed holes due to poor quality of material used in manufacturing. After lot of follow-up for 2 months Hyundai replaced the pipe and charged 40% of cost of component. In my view quality of components is average in Hyundai cars
