Among the crop of small cars available in India right now , Getz is the best. The space inside is the best of the lot. and gives the feeling of BIG car. Fit and finish of interiors are just too good.
My Getz after taking the beating of Indian roads for last 31000km is still as good as new with no noise from anywhere. Cooling is also the fastest among the group, with Getz taking precisely 8 mins for getting cabin temp down to 23 from 55 degC. Only problem with Getz is the mileage and that too because it is heavier, even than Accent by 100 kg (kerb weight around 1100kg) but this extra weight is because of the thicker gauge of steel for extra safety.
Last year I had accident near Ajmer and Iam fully convinced if it would not have been Getz I would not have been alive and writing this.Ride quality is ultimate, though she is not as peppy as some other hatchbacks but power delivery is linear and engine never feels any kind of strain in any driving condition.
And ofcourse there is Diesel Getz also available for people looking for economy, Diesel Getz has the engine of Verna (110BHp) so rest assure that you are way ahead of puny engined SWIFTS, INDICAS, PUNTOS and even some of those Sedans.If you are interested you can add K&N kit and Remus Exhaust and see the performance getting even better or get your diesel engine Getz tuned for some real neck breaking acceleration!!!!
