A realistic buy...beauty with the brain car. Review on Hyundai Getz Prime

I bought getz prime 1.1 GVS(o) with spoiler n wider tyres from bhagat hyundai, Patiala on 21st april, 08.the OTR was 4.45 lacs..In the beginning I was little bit apprehensive abt going for it as I read a lot of reviews on this site n carwale.com..most of the customers complained abt the pickup.

Initially I was in favor of i10 but found it too small as compared to getz..UVA was also on my mind but went against it as it was a new player in the market..moreover it was expensive than getz GVS..interiour of UVA was not that appealing as compared to getz prime..due to pickup doubt, i wanted to test ride the vehicle but unfortunately the test ride was not available in Patiala n nearby areas like Bathinda..the dealer gave me nos of few getz customers but again those hesitated in giving me their vehicle 4 a test ride..finally I went ahead n placed the order for the GVS option model..it took 15 days for the delivery..let me tell u that the first look at the car cleared all my doubts..it looked beautiful n sexy in real earth color.

The spoiler enhanced its looks..the dealer didnt gave me an atractive deal..he gave me discount of 5000 in insurance, free mud flaps, mats, perfume antirust n teflon coating..i had installed sony music system, nippon remote central locking in it..also beige color seat covers..

Performance: well the performance is gud..i have driven at max of 85kms as its a new vehicle but its very stable at that speed..no pickup problem..yeah the 1st n 2nd gear r bit heavy but 4th n 5th one silky smooth..the car just runs on those..the gears r silky smooth..even better than some bigger cars..i have driven SX4..the gear shift was very rough..well I haven't calculated the avg as yet as I have driven around 950 kms..will tell u that sometime later..

Well the only drawback I have felt is that beige interiors get dirty very soon..though I have driven it with ac on always, but still it has got some stains while installation of central lockin n music system..

I plan to install gear lock very soon so anyone having idea that which companys GL is gud..also let me know that cost of that..

Hi every1..just got front fog lamps fixed in my car....it looks are enhanced with it...luks damn sexy now...well the average has suffered after 2nd service..it used to give 17 on highways n 14 local with ac on always, but now it has dropped by 2kms/ltr...

WELL I M BACK AFTER CLOCKING 20, 000 KMS..THERE ARE FEW ADDITIONS TO ITS PERFORMANCE..STILL DELIVERS THE SAME PERFORMANCE..I HAVE GOT ALLOYS AND LEATHER SEAT COVERS IN IT..CONVERTED THE TYRES INTO TUBELESS AS IT GOT PUNCTURED MAQNY TIMES..PLANNING TO GO FOR LCD SCREEN ALSO..PEOPLE REALLY APPRECIATE ITS LOOKS AND ASK ME ABT THE CAR..NO IDEA WHY ITS SALES ARE NOT THAT HIGH AS COMPARED TO OTHER CARS..SOMEWHERE I READ THAT GETZ AND ELANTRA R THE TWO MODELS WHICH HAVEN'T FARED WELL FOR HYUNDAI IN INDIA..IF I COMPARE ITS LOOKS WITH RECENTLY LAUNCHED PUNTO, JAZZ, RITZ IT STILL LEAVES THEM BEHIND..CANT CANT SAY THAT ABT i20 AS IT IS AGAIN A VERY GUD CAR...PLANNING TO GO FOR i20 DIESEL IN THE NEAR FUTURE..
