We wanted our first car to be driver friendly with all the basic safety features such as airbags, ]parking sensors and ABS(Anti Lock Braking) system.Furthermore, we frequently took feedbacks from friends, relatives and aquaintances and then shortlisted some hathbacks and few sedans in 7-8 lakh range.Earlier we were inclined to buy swift as most of my relatives were using that but never thought of i20, the reason being we were told it is the most expensive among all in that range.We took the test drive of many cars, compared them on different aspects such as cost, mileage, maintenance, looks, safety, etc.
At last, we decided to purchase i20 elite sportz the very moment we took test drive as it has best various safety features and specifications at a decent price.
Safety
It has one airbag on the driver side.The seats are adjustable according to the preferences of driver.With ABS system and parking system with the screen in the inner mirror.Its parking system is better than MS Swift.The beep sound buzzes whenever it senses any nearby object behind it.Steering is adjustable for rake and reach and is very useful for short drivers.
Features
I20's Magna and above variants are built with an integrated 2 Din music system which includes CD player, AM/FM tuner, Mp3, etc and provision to connect USB and external media devices through AUX-IN. Overall, the 8 Speaker Audio system sounds to good.
It has in built 1 GB hard drive to store music files and bluetooth connectivity to connect mobiles phones and the like products.Its steering mounted audio control buttons makes it much safer and help in avoiding any DISTRACTION while driving.
Looks
It has very aggressive sporty appearance like a sports car.In terms of looks I never heard of any negative feedback.
Mileage
It gives mileage of 14-16 km in the city and 18-20 km on highway.In terms of mileage I would rate it only 3/5.It is the only drawback which frustrates me a lot, although other competitors give almost same mileage.
My Dad and me loves driving it as it is very smooth and fully loaded with plethora of features.
To sum up, I would highly recommend it for folks who need smooth ride, sporty look and prefer hatchback over a sedan.However, those we are very sensitive towards mileage should think before buying it.Comparing MS Desire and I20 elite sportz, the latter is better anytime 24/7.
