I bought this car exactly a year ago and have since run about 30, 000 KM. The car is very reliable and the dealer ship(KUN HYUNDAI) are very friendly and more important, conveniently located in all major areas of Chennai.
The car returns an average of 11KM in city driving conditions and about 14 on the HIghways. However if you can keep the car at a steady 80KMPH on the highways then the best it has returned is 18 KMPL. Fantastic. It is rock steady at speeds upto 160 kmph(Did not drive beyond this) and generally handles very well. The maintainance costs upto now have been low and pleasently surprising.
The following are what I term as major problem areas:
1. The Night Vision on this vehicle is bad- I think Hyundai have compromised on the Head Lamp Quality and it is almost undrivable with the originally fitted lamps
2. The Suspension in th is car is not as good as it should be. It rides rough and needs substantial refinement for a car its class
Also, the Cabin is noisy - the quality of sound proofing should have been better as engine noise is audible in an otherwise rich looking cabin. I would have given it the full marks but for points under 1 & 2 which pull down the product.
