Hyundai teased the updated Hyundai Creta in Brazil recently. As for India, Hyundai launched the Anniversary Edition of the Hyundai Creta, which is available only on the SX+ trim, in July upon completion of 12 months since the car's launch. The significant changes can be seen at the exterior. Available in only one colour scheme, i.e. white, it gets a glossy black paint finish on the roof along with the pillars.

1) . Specs: -

As predicted, the manufacturer has introduced this vehicle with one petrol and two diesel options. Both these are incorporated with a common rail based direct injection fuel supply system for optimum power delivery and decent fuel economy. Among these, 1.4-litre is the most fuel efficient, as it is capable of giving away approximately 24.8 Kmpl. While the 1.6-litre VGT drive train can produce about 23.9 Kmpl. Meanwhile, its 1.6-litre VTVT mechanism has the ability to return 17 Kmpl maximum mileage.

2) . Power: -

The 1582cc dynamo has the ability to churn out a maximum power of 126.3bhp in combination with a peak torque output of 259.8Nm. The drive train with 1396cc displacement capacity can produce 88.7bhp that results in a peak torque of 219.7Nm. On the other hand its 1.6-litre power plant can unleash a superior power of 121.3bhp and generates a hammering torque of 154.9Nm.

3) . Acceleration & Pick-Up: -

The 1591cc petrol option is available with a six speed manual transmission gear box that allows it to reach a top speed of 196 Kmph. In the meantime, it can accelerate from 0 to 100 in approximately 10.5 seconds. The 1396cc power source reaches 100 Kmph mark in 12.2 seconds and can go upto a top speed of 162 Kmph. On the other hand, the top end diesel options are fitted with a 1582cc motor that is available with six speed manual and automatic transmission. Both the versions are capable of attaining a top speed of 190 Kmph. Its manual version is perkier in terms of acceleration, as it can break the 100 Kmph barrier in 10.6 seconds, while its automatic version requires about 11 seconds to do so.

4) . Engine and Performance: -

At present, this latest SUV is available with three different drive train alternatives. The base and mid range are powered by a 1.4-litre CRDi mill that displaces 1396cc. It has four cylinders and is based on double overhead camshaft valve configuration. It has the ability to generate a power of 88.7bhp at 4000rpm that results in a superior torque of 219.7Nm between 1500 to 2750rpm. Remaining are powered by a 1.6-litre motor that also has the same 4-cylinder configuration and runs on common rail direct injection fuel supply system. However, it has a displacement capacity of 1582cc and is integrated with a variable geometry turbocharger. It is capable of unleashing a maximum power of 126.3bhp at 4000rpm that results in a pounding torque of 259.8Nm between 1900 to 2750rpm. On the other hand, the petrol version are equipped with a 1.6-litre VTVT mill that has a displacement capacity of 1591cc. It is integrated with a multi-point fuel injection system that is helpful for optimum delivery of power. It is capable of unleashing 121.3bhp of maximum power at 6400rpm and generates a hammering torque of 154.9Nm at 4850rpm. All these have been mated to a six speed manual transmission gearbox with front wheel drive mechanism. On the other hand, the SX Plus with 1.6-litre diesel power-train is also available with a six speed automatic transmission gearbox.
