I have a Hyundai Accent GLS with a 16 valve engine. The mileage is 10 kmpl in city and 12 kmpl on highways. Please let me know if this is what is expected or can it be better than this. The mechanic says if its a 12 Valve engine, then it will give better mileage but if its a 16 valve engine, the power will be more and the mileage will be less.
Secondly, he also says that you cannot alter the mileage for for a better performance as these cars are all standardized and cannot be tampered with.
Please let me know if this is true based on your experience.
