The most elegant and price worthy car available for Indian roads. Don't go for the likes of Ford, Opel or Honda. For if you don't buy the top end, you get a poor man's model of the promised, car. But if you go for an Accent, Hyundai assures good quality in all variants.
If you go for a Hyundai, You get all that. You go to a Ford or Honda showroom, they would demo and lure you with the interiors of the top end model. They will always demo the 1.5 Ikon, and will NOT show you the 1.3 version Ikon until you insist. And believe me, there's a huge difference. So even of you go for the Finesse (beautified 1.3), it's not worth the extra price.
But with a Hyundai, you get it all. In one clean package. You want a 1.6, go for a GLS, you want 1.5, look at GVS. It has the same elegant metal-grain dash as the top end accent. And why pay for 1.6 if you actually want an elegant car with a fuel efficient 1.5 litre engine that kicks 94 BHP (more than any of it's competitors).
You get it ALL. A beautiful 16 valve engine. Fog lamps, metal-grain dash, sporty shape steering wheel. For an extra 2000, you get leather covered gear shift knob, and leather covered steering … the works. The best I like is the adjustable steering, which is a great experience if you plan to drive it yourself.
Some people claim it is not peppy. Hello! What about that 94 BHP?
If you want a good family car, ideal for city, and Indian hill conditions. GO FOR IT.
You want to go to the Himalayas in the Accent, it will not let you down on steepest of the rough slopes.
But just in case you want to go for the Himalayan rally, and don't find it tough enough, I would recommend you to meet a good Hyundai engineer, and get to know about the hop-up options. This is a city car. If you want an offroader, buy an offroader.
