When I decided to change my Hyundai i10 Asta AT to a Diesel car with AT and all safety features, I did test drive Hyundai Verna SX AT, VW Vento, Skoda Rapid, Hyundai Creta, Sorpio AT. My budget was within 15L.
I dropped Hyundai Creta since I did not like the balance and comfort riding in Creta, especially while taking a turn with speed. Scorpio was dropped for the same reason.
VW Vento and Skoda Rapid - Though they claim to have 7 Speed Automatic, pickup and speed was much less than Verna. Also, while driving Vento or Rapid, I felt the weight of the car whereas in Verna, it was very light.
Finally I decided and purchased Hyundai Fluidic Verna 1.6 Diesel AT. So far driven around 4000 KM in 2 months. Here is my experience.
Exterior - Great looks, makes every one to turn around and see. Undoubtably, the beautiful car.!
Interior - Very good seating comfort, driver seat arm rest, large boot space, pleasent design makes us to feel very comfortable driving for long distances also. I have driven upto 600 KM in single day 3 times so far, very comfortable.
AC - Climate control AC is excellent. I set it for 23.5 with Auto mode, even the passengers in rear seat felt good AC. I never felt the absence of rear AC Vent. Initially I was really worried since rear AC Vent was not available in this model. But now I have no complaints.
Ground Clearance - Having gone through the negative reviews about the problems related to low ground clearance in indian roads, I had allmost rejected this model. But now, it is never an issue for me because of improved ground clearance(165). Though I have travelled through many speed breakers, not even once I had the issue of bottom chassie touching the road.
Speed pickup & Breaking - Absolute classic. No issues at all. I drive to a maximum of 120KMPH.
Mileage - I could get a comfortable 18 in highway and decent 15 in city. No complaints considering this is an AT car.
Rain Sensing Wiper and Automatic head lights work Well, Blue tooth connectivity is crystal clear. Reverse Camera and Sensor work like a charm. Keyless entry is superb.
Over all, I am very satisfied with the performance, would recommand any one to go for this car.!
