hopping malls are mushrooming in India and the biggest factor promoting this is influence of western culture. The second biggest reason for this is increasing popularity of retail marketing.
All the metros are now full of malls. In Hyderabad itself there are a number of malls including some big giants like PVR, Central, Abids so and so. There are some others like Big BAzaar, Spencer, etc.
The tremendous increase in malls is due to enchancing purchase capability of Indian customers.MNCs pays handsome salaries which finally leads to more purchasing.
But do mall suits to all?No I dont think so. If we have a look on the big players, who do good business, who are their customers? The answer is quite simple, upper class people and the creamy layer of the society. It is so because the sky touching prices is just unreachable by the other class of the society.
For the middle class people, its just a place of window shopping and class below that hesitate even to go inside.
But, when it comes to quality its really superb. Its a place where we get high quality and premium products. So, we pay for quality.
It can be made more popular if it is made accessible to other section of the society also.It can have two sections one for high class with premium products and other for middle class with comparatively cheaper products. So it should welcome all.
