Sometime back I bought a new hutch prepaid card at Mumbai's centralsuburbs, Govandi.

The Dealer gave me a "monthly" incoming scheme wherein I have to payRs.99/- every month for next 12 months and after which I am eligiblefor free incoming for Life.

Time and again I am flooded with " sms " from Hutch saying that if Idid  a refill/recharge for a particular amount I am eligible for soand so benefits.

When I do it. I do not get the benefits. Instead I am simply given atalktime that costs me Rs.2/per call to any number.

Even a publicly sold refill of Rs.30/- which "guarantees" free 100 minutes of Hutch to Hutch is denied to me.

When I call up " customer care " they say I am not eligible to anyother scheme.

If I want to get the benefits I have to " OPT OUT OF THEMONTHLY SCHEME by PAYING ANOTHER Rs.99/-( as opt out fees ).

When I protest and keep telling them that why am I getting messages orsms for schemes I am not eligible they simply brush it off as acompany policy to send sms to every customer be it tom dick or harryor whether he/she is eligible or not.

Even the publicly sold refill of Rs.30/- does not say " conditionsapply " nor their sms say " conditions apply ".This is open fraud on the customers and a nuisance from Hutch or Orange.

Shockingly

(a) the nodal officer of hutch located at Mumbai is never available on his seat to answer the calls.,

(b) he spoke to me on telephone, listened to my complaint given below and asked me to send an email which I did.,

(c) after five days I called up again and the nodal officer was not in his seat and one Mr...(name and email ids being withheld)  told me to send the email to a different id and that the earlier id given to me by the NODAL OFFICER HIMSELF is not proper or messages are never received on that id.

What does it imply ? Was my complaint already destined to the remote corner of some web Server, deliberate and intentional ?.

Not satisfied with this I found that there is an appellate authority .I did call up the Apellate Authority, who was also not available in his seat and one Mr...................... answered the call saying that my grievance would be attended to within 24/48 hours.

*Even while I am awaiting my redressal to the Complaint published on this site and email sent to Nodal Officer, Apellete Officer (the only top authority to redress), who have not bothered to reply even after 8 working days have elapsed.

Now Hutch has come out with a new scheme.

It is offering only for Rs.495/- lifetime incoming free.

I am an existing Prepaid customers since last 6 months and have paid Rs.99/- every month regularly and have to pay for another 6 months Rs.99/-, every month, to avail lifetime incoming free service.

In other words I have paid Rs.600/- and have yet to pay Rs.600/-additional to get lifetime free.

While a new subscriber gets to pay only Rs.495/- for lifetime incoming free.

Why this step motherly treatment to old customers ?

Is it fleecing the public openly or forcing existing customers to switch to new and new schemes, beneficial only to Hutch in terms of revenue?

Lets all get togather and fight legally , report the matter to TRAI and get the Telecom Licence of Hutch cancelled for good.*

*Hutch is marketing its prepaid cards in brand new Nokia handsets specially 1110. this means it is tampering with original box seal packing of the product allowing original battery/battery charger to be replaced by duplicate ones either at the Hutch.in end or at the Dealerss/Stockists end and depriving the customers of genuine and legitimate Nokia Free Service. Besides Nokia has put up a warning on all Original Handsets that the customers must not accept/purchase the Handset in case the seal is tampered, broken.

*Readers from Mumbai and Navi Mumbai having similar complaint can review it here for a collective action.

Is the TRAI listening ??*
