For the past 2 years I have been a loyal customer of Hush Puppies ( kindly note that I am forced to change the pair every 6 or 7 months ), the common culprit being the soles. None of the soles last more than 6 months. And the showroom sales persons blame my usage ( do they expect a Rs 3000 buck shoes to be preserved in the showcase ) and refuse to accept the fact and insist that they should last at least a year or so. It was then it dawned to me that the real reason is the deterioration of moral and ethical values in the society at large.
These highly acclaimed companies recruit management graduates from top ranking institutions, paying them exorbitantly high salaries, hence in order to justify what is paid to them they ensure that the shoes gets worn out soon, which in turn increases the sales figures. What about morals and ethics to achieve this ? We common men ( people with consciousness, morals and ethics ) are the ultimate suffers, no point in blaming the companies ( I checked out the reviews of different companies and all the reviews are on similar grounds).
