Located on the banks of yamuna, its is a marvelous masterpiece standing for more than 400 years. It is a majestic monument which is definitely worth a visit if your are in new delhi.
It can be easily accessed either by foot or by auto from the JLN stadium metro station. Its is a 1.5 km walk or one can take the auto which charge around 30/- to 50/- depending on the rush hour.
Its lush green gardens and nice picturesque view of minarets and intricate designs on the walls will be enough to leave anyone spell bound.
In the complex there are some other places too which can be visited such as haji begam's tomb and char bagh with beautiful water channels.
For an Indian it costs 30/- per head whereas for the foreigners the ticket costs 500/- inr. It is not permissible to take eatables inside the premise and eating any kind of food is forbidden so its advisable to not carry food items and there are not much shops around so its advisable to carry own water bottles.
Best time to visit humayun's tomb is in the morning hours when its cold, in the day its quite busy. There are few accommodations available near to the site but for better accommodations one can always explore via metro.
The place has proper safety with guards and it is a must go for people of every age.
