Released with lot of hype, thanks to The Times Of India and MTV, two bad habits every young person in India adores, Hum Tum feels the same as Notting Hill (H. Grant/ J. Roberts) though different script-wise. Produced by Yash Raj Films, Hum Tum is a GenX light hearted romantic movie.

Directed by highly rated Kunal Kohli, who once directed ''Mujhse Dosti Karoge'', gives a wonderful treatment to the script, penned by himself.

The movie revolves around the romance of Karan , played by Saif and Rhea , played by Rani, who are two opposite poles which attracts. The chemistry between the two has been brilliantly portrayed. Kiron Kher as Rhea's ma and Rishi Kapoor as Karan's pa provides adequate flavors to the spicy recipy. Guest appearences by the likes of Abhishek Bachchan, Jimmy Shergill and Isha Kopikar keeps the tempo high.

The editing keeps the audience in the edge of there seats.

Easy going life of Kunal gets tangled with the life of Rhea, whom at different phases of life portrays different periods and different emotions. The movie spans around 6-7 years, and with it are the changes in the relation between Kunal and Rhea, from individuals, to adversary, to friends and thereon.

The cinematography which is excellent to say conservatively, has been done by immensely talented Sunil Patel, who did assistant cinematographer in Sarfarosh. The music by Jatin-Lalit sounds refreshing in essence with the movie. The track by Rishi Rich is the most liked one.

All in all a very good movie to view with friends and family. Yash Raj Films as always has avoided vulgarity, that is one of the most liked feature.
