Hi there….

This is Snigdha. Well in my previous reviews I have already mentioned that I am not a movie maniac… that does not mean that I don’t watch movies!!! I watch, but not each and everyone… I watch one movie and if I find it interesting then I never miss that one ever coming on TV!!

That is why I missed so many movies but watched some particular movies more that a dozen of times…and today I am going to write about one of such movies which comes under the second category… “Hum Hain Raahi Pyaar Ke”…

Yup, it is an old movie…it was released in 1993. I had not watched it then, because the movies hardly made any sense to me then (and most of them don’t make any sense to me till now!!!! I know I am a hopeless creature!!!). So I watched this movie when it came on TV. And from then it came under my “ever watch-able” movie list. So when it was coming on TV on Sunday, how could have I resisted to watch this and after that how can I stop writing about it…….

I should stop talking about myself now; otherwise I will surely get a comment on that also he he he…

Story :

The movie starts with “Rahul” and 3 children of his dead sister & brother-in-law. His brother in law had a factory of shirts. Now, after his death Rahul has to take care of everything starting from the company to the 3-orphaned children.

And with additions to this, the factory is in debt and going through heavy losses…the children are very naughty and they always make the governess (appointed by Rahul to take care of them) to run away by their mischievous pranks.

Rahul is very tensed as he feels helpless and he can’t even think of any way out.

In the mean time, there is the entry of another character “Baijayanti”. She is the only daughter of a very rich businessman. Her father is very fond of classical music and dance and he wants that Baijayanti should marry a Katthak dancer. But Baijayanti denies for this marriage and runs away from home.

She meets the 3 children at one fair when they have also come there without informing their uncle Rahul. All of them spend a great time over there and while returning back they bring Baijayanti with them to their house. They keep her hidden from their uncle. But somehow they were caught.

Now Rahul feels that the children actually like Baijayanti and she also seems to be a good girl. So he also agrees to keep her in the house.

With the passing time Rahul an Baijayanti fall in love with each other and enjoyed each other’s company. All of them faced the problems together and had a lots of fun also…

I don’t want to pull the story more now so let me jump over to my opinion…

What I felt while watching the movie :

Well I never had any craze for any particular type of movie…say a romantic one, a family drama, a suspense thriller, horror film or a comedy one. I watch almost every kind of movie.

This was a movie with a taste of romance and the togetherness & love in a family…a bit of comedy and some sprinkles of serious moments make the movie a perfect one to watch with any body.

The relationship developed between the children and Baijayanti is very rare. It was true that Baijayanti was staying with them because she wanted to avoid her marriage with the dancer, but at the same time she never felt like staying in a different family. She became a kid when she was with them and made her full contribution to their lot of mischievous actions. On the other hand, she showed her maturity by getting the problem of Rahul and taking good care of the children…she was like their mother, their elder sister, and their best friend…….

The romance between Rahul and Baijayanti was so innocent and sweet. Sometimes they were behaving like kids and the next moment they were behaving like very mature parents…they had respect for each other and each others’ feelings. Their love was bubbly and it was well nourished with a good friendship.

Actors

Amir Khan was playing the role of Rahul and Juhi Chawla was playing that of Baijayanti. Well truly speaking I always liked the jodi of Amir & Juhi.

Juhi was as bubbly in her role as the character demanded…always smiling and having that innocent yet mischievous look on her face…

Amir khan was also looking very simple yet handsome (I always liked his simple looks but obviously he looked great in dil chahta hai also!!!). He had acted to his best…

All other actors were also good specially the two small boys and the small girl who were playing the role of the 3 children…

Music :

I never like to watch songs…I just love to listen to them…so I often get bored by the songs coming in between the film. But here I enjoy each and every song.

I like “yun hi kat jaaegi safar saath chalne se….”, “ kaash koi ladka mujhe pyaar karta…”, “woh meri neend mera chain mujhe louta do…” and “ghoonghat ke aad se dilbar ka deedar….”.

Both music and lyrics were good and refreshing…

It was a super hit movie of its time…but still I enjoy it whenever I watch it. A sweet story with a sweet ending…

I hope you enjoyed this review as much as I enjoyed the movie…and if you did not find it that well… then I am sorry for wasting your valuable time :0(….abhi itna time waste kar hi chuke ho to aur do minute leke ek comment bhi drop kar do…badi meherwaani hogi aap logonki….he he he…

Snigdha…
