I first saw this movie when I was about 9 years old but even then I was able to understand the dialogues and the plot of the film. YES, the plot is that simple. But even now at the age 19 I can still watch this film and have a good laugh. Trust me, this film doesn’t get old on you. Cast- Aamir Khan(Rahul) Juhi Chawla(Vaijanthi) Bidnani seth(Dilip Tahil) Pooja- Bidnani’s daughter(Navneen Nishan) Vicky(Oldest child) Munni(2nd Child) Sunny(youngest child) Mishra Ji(Mushtaq Khan) Plot:
Aamir Khan’s brother-in-law and sister have passed away after an accident leaving behind their 3 children(vicky, munni and sunny). It is now Aamir’s responsibility to govern his sister’s children. Aamir also has the responsibilty to manage his brother-in-law’s garment factory. Aamir being rather hot headed has a difficult relationship with the children. And top of that the children are very spoilt. Mushtaq Khan(Mishra) is Aamir’s assisstant at the factory. Since the death of his brother-in-law, the buisness has declined and Aamir needs to complete Bidnani seth’s(Dalip Tahil) contract offer of preparing 100, 000 shirts.
The film really kicks on when Juhi leaves her house and meets the children at the mela. She tells them that she doesn’t have a home(when she is the daughter of rich brahmin). The kids tell her to live with them. Initially Aamir doesn’t know that she’s lives in his house but soon finds out. He says that you can stay here but will have to help with the house work. Juhi agrees. During the middle part of the film Aamir and Juhi begin to love each other BUT have not confessed this to each other. Bidnani Seth continues to pressurise Aamir so that he completes his contract. Pooja who his Bidnani’s daughter is Aamir’s college friend. She wants to marry him. She tells her dad that she wants to marry aamir and asks her dad to give Aamir an extension on his contract.
