Story NOT revealed in the review.
In short: This movie starts sluggishly, gains pace, makes you laugh, gets sluggish but ends well. As they say, all’s well that ends well, this one is worth your time. Don’t compare it with Hera Pheri and you will enjoy it.
The highlights:
At least twenty minutes of laugh riot
The let-downs:
Music – it’s bad!
An unrealistic plot.
The limiting factors:
None. Should be accepted by people for its light-hearted content.
A little more about the movie: This movie starts on a slow note but picks up. The story is not very convincing but guarantees good laugh – thanks to Arshad ‘Circuit’ Warsi. Some sequences are complete shockers. One scene where the guys try to save a lady’s life, embarrass her to such an extent that she would have surely preferred to die. The characters react in the most unreal and unusual way. (False) pride is fine but can people be so dumb? We wonder.
Music is bad. Editing is fine. Technically not very sound but does an average movie-goer bother?
Acting Performances: Kareena plays the dumbest character in the movie and does a good job of it. Arshad Warsi is likeable and seems set to play a hundred more ‘circuit’ (hero’s aide) in days to come. He is delight to watch. Akshay Khanna sails through yet another comic role with ease. Arbaz is passable. Jackie is good as ever but has nothing to do in the movie. Paresh Rawal continues his good form. Amrish Puri is first-rate. Other characters urge you to ‘forget-me-not-after-the-show’ but one wonders how many will do them a favor.
