Double Mazaa!!. Review on Hubahu

U may be thinking that why am I writing a review about a serial that has already ended and is off air.But I think it was 1 of the few rare serials that sony aired ,which was really praiseworthy!!

For those who have not heard about this programme,this story revolves around 2 sisters who are twins .When I first heard about his serial,i was intrigued by the story and thirsting to find out more. I became a regular viewer of the serial..

This is the story of Aditi(played by sandhya mridul):a house-wife stuck in a loveless marriage.Her whole life revolves around her son and her husband dilip(played by rajit kapoor).Tired of her monotonous life and a marriage that is heading for the rocks,she gets a breather in the form of an invitation from her twin sister Ananya to meet up .She is excited cos they haven't met since a few years

This is the story of Ananya(played by sandhya mridul again)Based in Bangkok she is the owner of an antiques shop ;Artisans which is doing great business.Famous,successful,independent at the same time divorced and lonely Ananya feels the need get away when she finds out that the her supplier of antiques is actually a smuggler.As also she feels the timing is perfect to meet with her twin sister whom she hasn't had the time to meet due to her busy schedule!!

The twins meet,discuss their problems and their lives.Both r surprised to realise that they find each other's more interesting than their own.Desperately in need of change ,both the sisters decide to exchange identities for a week,without anyone's knowledge So off goes Ananya to Aditi's house and Aditi to Honk Kong..

A week breezes by and and its time for returning to old identities..but some events prevent the twins from doing so..Ananya fractures her hand.Meanwhile Aditi meets Hemant,played by tarun raghavan (whom she learns later is really an undercover cop)Predictably she falls in love with him even though she knows its not gonna last..

There Ananya starts loving Dilip..

When the twins finally come back their former lives both of them find that everything has changed and they realize that their lives are never gonna be the same again.The climax though is predictable still leaves the viewer thrilled .

The reason I really liked Hubahu is because of its direction..the story was not extraordinary..the way it was handled was..It was really good that the programme ended where it did..if its producer had been ekta kapoor it would have continued till both Aditi and Ananya would have become mother-in-laws...The natural acting by all the actors especially the flexibility of Sandhya mridul to fit into to different charecters is really noteworthy...If ever this serial is rerun one should make it a point to watch it!!
