~~~Main Jaisa Hoon Main Vaisa Kyun Hoon~~~. Review on Hrithik Roshan

Formally 11 films of this guy released over the period of 5 years. He is honoured to lead the cast in all of them and had the most powerful role of each film. His two upcoming project naming Dhoom 2 and Krrish are about to release in year 2006. This man is 6’1” in height married to Suzane Khan. He is none other than Hrithik Roshan. From his very first release he is in news and with every passing movie he is getting mature and mature. His full name is Hrithik Nagrath Roshan and nickname is Duggu. January 10th 1974 is his birthday. This means he is 31 years and 8 months old. Graduate from Sydnhem College having B.Com as his final degree. His father is a renowned producer /director Mr.Rakesh Roshan his mother name is Pinky Roshan.

His family belongs to film industry so he was attracted toward film industry from his childhood. His grandfather Roshan was a famous music director and his uncle Rajesh Roshan is also in the same field. Whereas his father started acting later direction and also producer of films. Hrithik acted as child artist in movie Aap Ke Deewane in 1980 later a song in Aasha. Bhagwan Dada in 1986 was his another flick but still remain unnoticed but this was a great learning for him to know about the technicalities of film making and which helped him later. In 1987 Rakesh Roshan’s Khudgarz released Hrithik was assistant director of the movie. This was his full-fledged entry into stardom though he was not become famous in industry due to this but he was in notice of people in the industry.

Later he assisted his father in movies like King Uncle in 1993, Karan Arjun in1995, Koyla in 1997 and Karobaar in 2000. working as assistant director he always work for learning and many film making techniques he knows already before acting in his first released movie Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai in 2000. the movie was well placed and promoted and it got an immediate success industry was going through a tough patch and this film not only given support to the industry but also given rise to a new star that is Hrithik Roshan.

this was a brief introduction to Hrithik as which kind of personality this person has and how he grow up in film industry now lets go to Hrithik which we know now. A regular way to define him is to discuss his films one by one. It’s a pure and critical analysis on Hrithik and his movies.

2000 Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai

Starting movie and the two roles. A difficult task to handle two characters changing your mode and style but Roshans worked on it with a great care and handled the whole movie well though very unnatural story still accepted due to extensive publicity and the music just got a great response almost all songs were superhit and one song which was in the album but not in the movie was also later added. This movie was the first one and Hrithik acting was shaky accepted sue to it was first film. Overall a nice start.

2000 Fiza

Khaled Mahmood the famous critic got him in the next movie Fiza in which he acted as a Muslim boy becoming a terrorist. He could have done much better but he could not able to dissolve the tip of the role which it demanded. I guess Karishma who was acting as his sister acted way better and it looks she overtook him altogether. His 2nd movie so given benefit of doubt that ok the guy is still new so acting may got a by chance stumble.

2000 Mission Kashmir

Vidhu Vinod Chopra opted Sanjay Dutt & Hrithik Roshan as his lead cast. Sanjay’s performance was awesome. Hrithik tried his best but his expressions and his dialogue delivery was not according to the demand of the character. In emotional scenes he was not even ok. Other actor could have done a better job. He just relies on his action, stunts and a dance trick which is his specialty from start. You take Bhumbroo or Rind Pushoma same leg technique of dance which he started from Ek Pal Ka Jeena from Kaho Naa Pyar Hai. Overall below average performance.

2001 Yaadein

Subhash Ghai was impressed with Hrithik’s performance so he called him for Yaadein. A Super(s)hit kind of movie. The movie itself dosent possess any thing so do the performances by the cast. Anu Malik fails to deliver a memorable music so the movie lost on each and every ground. Hrithik performance looks he is an extra in the movie. Once again a below average performance.

2001 Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham

Amitabh Bachchan – Jaya Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan – Kajol and Kareena Kapoor and Heavy duty cast and last but not the least Hrithik Roshan now see what this man has to perform. A grand scale movie with more powerful role possessed by Shahrukh so Hrithik has a Supporting role. His acting skills became doubtful after this movie and all his fame go in the background and I starts thinking that this is enough for any one to get an opportunity. Awful acting skills in K3G where everyone leaves an impact even Rani Mukherjee with a very little role leaves an impact Hrithik Fails to deliver his excellence.

2002 Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage

There is a Persian proverb “Yuk Na Shud Do Shud”. Means not Hrithik only Amesha is present in the movie. She had already bagged a Superhit Gadar in 2001. now there was a great chance for both of them to reunite the party which they enjoyed after Kaho Naa Pyar Hai. But when we come to the director Mr, Vikram Bhatt all doubt about the movie removed and it is to declare that the movie is a superflop, so it does. Hrithik fame decreased a lot after this stupid movie and people’s expectations from him too.

2002 Na Tum Jaano Na Hum

Again the same happen to this film. Two superflop performers of that time I mean Saif & Esha joined him in this film and another flop for Hrithik. His acting was so poor that one never want to see any of his movie ever. Defaming movie this one. I don’t know how Hrithik accepted this offer. I guess for money.

2002 Mujhse Dosti Karoge!

another flop add to the sequence. Kareena & rani co-stars and both performed well. About Hrithik again no chance of seeing mercy from my words. Actually I think Yash Raj want him or expect him to behave like Shahrukh and which he fails to do. Dialogues are crucial part in Yash Raj Films and so do this has but it needs a lot emotions which Hrithik again fails to provide. Rahul Sharma’s music was cool. Poor Performance by Hrithik once again.

2003 Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon

Now what to say about this film. Rajshri was not expected to give movie like this which they have done. Kareena complete over-acting. Hrithik (overacting)x100 and this defame him more with a clue that he is not an actor. As a model to show body or Item Boy could be a right and effective idea. Instead Abhishek Bachchan acted more confidently and far good than Hrithik considering the fact that both Hrithik and Abhi were new comers.
