Man had undergone thousands of years of civilization before he reached this point in the history of time. Man, the creator of technology never makes public the creator's manual but there is relief.
We have known of technology the what, when, why but never really looked into the ?how?? (At least not me). Technology serves up its offering and we accept it, no questions asked. I was once going thru this site a long time ago and ever since this site never ceases to amaze me. It?s a perfect Food for thought.
?howstuffworks.com? really informs us about How Stuff works. Here ?stuff? can be interpreted anything from computers to currency to carbs or anything under the sun. When you are looking for answers you can search the whole WWW or just this site.
The website has different sections. They are computer Stuff, Auto stuff, electronics stuff, Home stuff, health stuff, money stuff etc..
Computer Stuff: Did you know how microprocessor works? If not, you can. This Knowledge is not limited to the computer or electronics grads. Other such examples under this section include How do computer viruses work? How Removable storage works?etc.
Surround systems functioning, photocopiers, CD writers are some examples of Working of Electronics stuff. Cloning, Nuclear reaction, lasers etc are science stuff.
My favorite is the Health stuff though I am not a health buff. I would love to know about the inner working of the human body. This section contains the material on Organ transplantation, Botox , Diets , Nicotine , medicinal values of rain forest?s. etc. Even about United Nations, GPS?etc
If you are intrigued by anything the answer is here.
Sometimes some topics can fall under a different category than you might think. The pages are short under each product. But there are drop down boxes too. So You could jump directly to that page. I normally open the printable version so that I can get everything on the same page.
Some of the topics are not useful or it may be it depends on perspective. I don?t know why anyone would want to know how doughnuts work.
Some sections advertise products under a particular section.we can just choose to ignore it. The topics under money stuff seem to be helpful only to Americans.
All in all, a very useful website.
