Smoking - whats is it? How is one habited to this? whats are factors considering for smoking? why people start? Where it would lead one? ohh many questions for which one would get hundred's of differen
t reply.
Quit Smoking is not an new issue. I remember when I started smoking
(1982) the issue was present and even today(2002) the issue is there. What are we doing on individual basis and collective as on co
mmunity basis.
I am not going to tell about pros(?) and cons( many) of smoking and its effect.
I had tried quitting on numerous occasions but was never successful.
Finally I quit in November 2001 and am proud to say its more than
6 months and I have never touched the stick again and vow to never
touch again.
There are not tips and tricks for quitting smoking. Sorry but it's
all in mind. No shortcuts or easy steps to quit.
I had tried al ways: smoking alternate days, smoking lesser sticks per day, chewing nicotine gums, aahhh many toher tricks but when I hit again it would be with lot of vengence, something like I was marooned without the stuff.
But I have realised the way to quit smoking is only one and thats to throw awa
y atonce and that to straight away and keep telling yourself Thats it
I am not going to take that white stick in my hand ever again.
It would be difficult in the initial few days and just when you feel like smoking take a gla
ss of water, or walk around and look outside the window or call you child and talk over the phone with h
im/her. I bet in few days you would start missing your stick lesser
and lesser and like me now when I see someone smoking feel like hitting him.( sorry but I was one earlier too)
WHO CARES FOR HIS FAMILY AND HEALTH SHOULD BE DETERMINED TO STAY AWAY FROM SUCH STUFF.
PLEASE TRY ITS POSSIBLE TO QUIT SMOKING. WHEN YOU THINK OF FAGS JUS
T THINK ABOUT YOUR FAMILY AND AM SURE YOU WOULD QUIT HARDER AND FAST
