This is based on my personal experience. There is no better method than'Water Therapy' to get rid of the habit of smoking, chewing tobacco, drinking lot of tea and coffee etc. Although some may disbelieve the effectiveness of this method and ridicule it, practising it only can make one trust this method. Whenever there is urge to smoke or drink beverages, drink water instead. Slowly and surely you will leave these habits.

' Water therapy is suggested in empty stomach.


After a nights sleep, so many hormones are secreted and broken down. They should be removed in the morning from the body to avoid undesirable effects. Hence water therapy in the morning is very beneficial. Also in the empty stomach, maximum water is absorbed and part of the water used for flushing the colon and rectum if any junk found. When water enters the body in the morning, it helps kidneys to flush out the toxic metabolite form the body. Therefore water cleans the whole digestive system and the interior body.


How to do water therapy?


Brush teeth and do the therapy.




  1. Take one and a half liter bottle fill with water and start drinking directly from the bottle. Keep drinking as much as you can. If you cannot empty it all at once give a 5 minutes gap and drink rest of the water. Again if some water left give a gap of another 5 minutes and empty the bottle. Keep doing this everyday you notice that in a few day you can empty the bottle all at once. This is the best trick to do the water therapy.




  2. Taste of water satiates the tongue. Therefore pouring water directly to the throat avoiding contact with the tongue, one can drink one and a half liters of water with ease. Care should be taken not the choke you while doing direct drinking. This is another way.




  3. Measure 1.5 liters in cups and drink cup after cup. This is another way however some feel satiating sense soon. Should it be drunk, all at once? To clean the body one has to take a shower. One cannot keep pouring little water throughout the day to clean the body; instead showering only can help. Similarly one cannot argue that water can do its cleaning action by drinking several cups of water throughout the day. To clean you have to shower the internal body with 1.5 liters of water in the morning. Drinking water throughout the day is for thirst. Water therapy is not for thirst but for flushing all the toxins out of body and regain good health.






Initially you will feel slight uncomfortness in gulping 1.5 liters. Some may feel that they will throw up. Therefore measure the amount in cups(Seven glasses makes 1.5 liters). Start with one glass for the first day. Next increase to two glasses and then to three and so on till you can drink seven glasses. You may also drink four glasses first and the balance three glasses after a gap of two minutes. However the bottle method is the best.


Drinking 1.5 l of water is like swimming in an ocean.


Everything in life is a practice. When we start swimming in a swimming pool, we would fear that we would drown and die. But everyday practice will help us to keep us in a balance. Once we learn the art of swimming in a pool, then we can swim in a might ocean too. This is the same with water therapy. They are all notions and fear and our own conclusions that make us not to attempt this wonderful way of maintaining health.'
