The title of my review itself is self-explanatory and contained. Confused!!!!!!!!!!! Well have patience and enjoy reading. This article is inclined for confined audience but still can be used by others. As I mentioned about the audience, without wasting any single word lets plunge into the matter. My article is targeted to all the young and vibrant youth of India who wish to add zing to their career. Yes, I am talking about excitement, adventure and thrill, which is there in the Indian Army. Most of us are confused or unaware of the career prospect in Indian Army.

Here I will take brief journey into the career prospect in Indian Army. Let’s start with the first step, the moment you enter into 12th standard start looking for UPSC advertisement in the newspaper. Your first step will be appearing for the NDA (National Defence Academy) exam, which is conducted twice a year. Maximum age limit is 19 years; a candidate will easily get 3-4 chance to appear for NDA exam. After clearing NDA entrance exam you will be called for SSB (service selection board) interview conducted at various locations in India. The moment you clear your SSB interview you will be enrolled for the course, which will be conducted at NDA khadagwasla, Pune. I can provide the details of SSB interview as it comprises of several selection steps.

Ohhhh you missed your NDA opportunity don’t loose heart you are even eligible for the direct entry and now you are exempted from the entrance exam. But in this case you need to have 70 %( short listing criteria) and above marks in your 10+2 board. This is another golden opportunity for the candidates who have missed their NDA exam due to some reason. Well!! This is a short description about openings after 10+2. Besides, you can also try after your graduation and this time also you have to keep track of UPSC advertisement and this is called CDSE (combined defence services exam) conducted twice a year. Then you have TGC (technical graduate course) this is for all those BE’s MCA’s, candidates.

Hey!!! My aim is to inform the candidate about the various openings in Indian Army. This is just a small list; there are other entry schemes also through which you can achieve your dream career like NCC (National cadet corps) c-certificate etc.

Now, what you get as an officer in Indian Army? Well!!! The very first achievement is that you become an officer at lower age, you get all the benefits and privileges that one desire in their life. You get civilized and sophisticated environment that you may not get in other jobs. Above all I would say a sense of satisfaction will be there in your life. Amidst all its glamour and charm the life is tough and demanding but I think life is not easy elsewhere. Be it engineer, doctor, software professional, whatever may be the profession you are always on run. Take an example of s/w professional: suppose a s/w engineer draws 50k a month so the rest of things he/she has to manage themselves. But as an officer you will get well-located accommodation, excellent messing, medical facilities and all. You need not have to run here and there for your basic needs whereas in other services (except government jobs) you have to manage for everything and there is no guarantee that you get good atmosphere and surroundings.

Well friends it doesn’t mean that the other job is bad or not demanding, I am just putting this message to inform our young, cheerful lot that there are lots of opportunities in Indian Army.
