Story:

When are our Hindi movie producers going to good sued I wonder for their blatant violation of copyrights act? What about our music directors? They are safe because they know that nothing can and will be done about them. For instance the movie Hum Tum which went on to becoming a super hit is a copy of - When Harry met Sally. Yet nobody created a hue and cry. But when it comes to Kaavya - the world seems to be against her. Even we Indians are willing pretend that we are ashamed of her. But please! There are many more things that we should be ashamed of before this.

Kaavya Viswanathan has indeed created a sensation in unabashedly plagiarising. But the saddest thing of it all is getting caught. May she had not bargained for that. Now no amount of clarification will convince the world at large that it was not a deliberate act of cheating.

BUT what about J K Rowling or Christopher Paolini? Why is it the public at large keeping quiet knowing very well that they have based almost all their books on Tolkien's Lord of the Ring. Nobody is crying FOUL!Could it be because Tolkien is no more. May be there is nobody to fight for his cause.

If you have any doubts - visit this website - https://geocities.com/medevam/similar.html

Or google you doubts you will soon find out.

This is no justification for what Kaavya did. She certainly did wrong. But then she has joined an elite club.
