I bet this is one subject where everyone will have a tale to tell. I am more eager to read the tales than write my own story.

Its not easy to find a niche for yourself. A space of your own. A space where a global community walks in and out and shares a common platform on a range of subjects. Mouthshut is one such community.

Everyday when I log on to MS I discover more about it. And I see only the plus points. For me it is one of the best things to happen on the internet besides rediffmail and google. There is no other site that occupies my time as much as MS.

So how did I discover Mouthshut....?

Do you want the truth? Okay here it comes. It was a dark night. Monsoon was at its best. I was alone on the highway riding my horse. At times I wanted to retire for the night but Saddam, my horse kept pushing me. Finally he took me to the city. Eventhough it was midnight the city was still alive and I was standing outside an internet cafe. I never wanted to go inside the cafe. I was tired of using Yahoo, Colorgenics, miniclip and all. But my horsey had a sixth sense and he pushed me again. And do you know what? This was not an ordinary cafe. It was actually a cafe where all the users were logged on to just one site - Mouthshut. I asked one of them about what is Mouthshut....and recieved a prompt shout from the bunch.....Arre Mouthshut nahin Jaanta? This how my journey began.

Now for the fun part

I had appeared for my final year graduation exams and was looking for a job. Being a simple graduate I was not sure what I wanted to do. Back then many private radio station were opening shops in delhi. So I walked in one of them and told them I was looking for work. They said why dont you try AIR, luckily I had before going there visited the AIR office and was carrying a form on me. This helped me besides other things. I was asked to preapre a report on the entire radio history (India) and how to build the radio as a brand. I tried to search the web and it was then that I discovered Mouthshut.

I immediately became a member here. But very soon forgot my password (thanx to Jasmine she sent me a reminder after a while). For almost a long time I did not understand the MS concept. I even thought that MS was crap.....but time passed and I inderstood the value of MS. Probably it is one of the best things to happen to me on the web.

I am sure in the times to come MS will be a renowned name. Almost everyone I know is aware of MS. This means that almost everyone they know also know of MS. This club is certainly going to grow.

I kind of like Suhaib Illayaisi for his animated rhetoric skills. I laugh uncontrollably evertime he shouts at the top of his voice, 'Together we and can together we will'. But I love this line. I used it here to convay the message of making this place the best virtual community.
