The makers tried to play safe by not keeping the preview of HOUSEFULL for the critics, at least people who blindly trust these critics will at least run to the theater to watch the film. Either to appreciate or to run down, but at least a few extra tickets would be sold, which goes in favour of the film as far as the monetary aspects are concerned.

Sajid Khan is one person whom I don't like at all for the simple reason that he laughs at almost everyone. But with this film he has created a soft corner for himself in my heart as he has shown some promise in film making. His imagination is erratic at times but confirms his growth as a film maker.

HOUSEFULL narrates the story of Akshay Kumar, who is nothing but a loser. Bad luck follows him in anything & everything that he does or where ever he goes. Check out the introduction part of Akshay Kumar when he enters the casino & everybody starts loosing as the song HE IS A LOSER plays at the background.

Ditched by Mallaika Arora (looked horrible in the first scene with Akshay Kumar), he leaves for London to stay with his friend Ritesh Deshmukh, who is married to Lara Dutta. Gets married to Jia Khan who elopes with her boyfriend on the very first night. Attempted suicide but saved by Deepika Padukone, with whom he later falls in love & wants to get married. The only trouble is that she is the sister of Mallaika Arora & Arjun Rampal.

Lara Dutta has not met her father since 2 years as she married without his permission & now Boman Irani is coming to London to meet her.

Due to circumstances Akshay is thought to be Lara's husband. Deepika is thought to be the ayyah of Ritesh & Lara's child. Ritesh is thought to be Akshay Kumar's cook.

The final nail in the coffin is that Arjun Rampal also visiting London to take the award & approve Akshay for the marriage.

This follows a sequence of scenes that does sound illogical at times but succeeds in creating laughter. But once again the climax is a bit of a let down, why didn't they think of a better climax? All the hard work done in the first 2 hours 15 minutes looks spoiled to some extent with the 15 minutes climax.

Cinematography is beautiful. The cameraman has captured Italy so wonderfully that you feel like going there. Songs sound good on the screen as the music directors has created foot tapping music. The songs between Jia & Akshay & Apni to jaise taise are the show stealer.

Chunky Pandey is just ok. Randhir Kapoor was passable in a small role. Jia Khan confirms that she is here to reveal everything that she possess & its evident in her bikini scenes.

Arjun Rampal's role is small when compared to other male stars but he does a good job & looks very handsome. He has a great screen presence. Wish he gets better & lengthy roles in future.

Deepika Padukone was not bad & yes she too has few fixed expressions that she uses in every film. Time to grow & learn lady.

Lara Dutta's timing in comedy has improved & her chemistry with Ritesh deshmukh works big time.

Ritesh Deshmukh is natural. Excellent performance from him yet again. Good work Ritesh.

Boman Irani is hilarious, whether his mother is beating him, or he sees Akshay & ritesh coming out of same room, or sleep walking, he is good in everything.

Akshay Kumar is the life & soul of HOUSEFULL. He lived the role of Arush - the loser, to perfection. Watch the film to know the talent that this man possess. There are scenes when he is scared or looks worried but even that brings smile on your face. Watch him when he makes the entry with innocent look on his face as everything changes in the casino - WOW. 10 on 10.

Last but not the least Sajid Khan has done a good job behind the camera & will definitely taste success once again with this film.

It's a stress buster. Watch it if you want to laugh a lot without thinking about the logic.
