Just wanted to share an experience that I had last wednesday at the Taj krishna, Hyderabad...
I was going there after quite a long time and so expectations were of what I had seen it last about a year ago.
Imagine my surprise when I entered into the lobby....It was immaculately clean, the floor was shining enough for you to get a glimmer of your reflection in it ( mind you this is after the lighting in the evenings in the lobby is fairly dim). There was some superb music that you could hear coming from the Lobby Bar (sorry, dont know the name)...
The movement of the staff in all the public areas was polite and unhurried and so it didnt look like there were fighting any fires anywhere.
Walked up to the Coffeshop ( ithink it is called Encounters) and met with the Manager there Rohit Batra. Not a more polite soul, let me assure you. He took superlative care of us and when we requested him that we also wanted to see Ahala the reincarnated discotheque. He was kind enough to take us there and showed us around...What a place!!! Great ambience, superb music, excellent crowd - a perfect recipe for a success story.
Dinner at Encounters was a superb affair...You must try the prawns. They were absolutely brilliantly done..The service was quiet but efficient and the desserts later, Awesome.
All in all a superb experience........
A caveat though - My brother who I went with , works as a manager with the Taj in Delhi and so maybe some of the attention was due to his being there. But you know what?? That I think only added value to a their strong foundation of excellent service....
