I have been to shreyas a couple of times ( my father is a patron of Shreyas ) and never have I had any problem with the hotel - of any kind. The location is bang in the middle of the city - close to all shopping centres ( FC road, JM road, Deccan , Tulsi Baug , Camp , bund Garden - you name it )
The staff there is omg oh so courteous, its difficult to even raise your voice against them for any reason. They even have some software to track the number of times a person visits the hotel ( stays ) and the next time you call them , the some how know its you and they even have it noted as to which floor you prefer staying what food you have ordered the most, what kind of room you had liked last time - all this if you have filled their form.
I am probably under-rating the food quality if I were to say its good. Its just about as good as your mom can cook. The maharashtrian thali is just devine. The shrikhand, the fruit custard, the sabudana wada - god damn my mouth is already watering.
The only down side is, its so crowded during meal times, parking might be a problem for the 4 wheeler junta and standing might be a problem for ppl with arthritis. For sure, there is a waiting time of atleast 30 mins and they are pretty strict as to how many ppl can go into the dining room at any given time, so rest assured the dining area wont be crowded, but the outside will be over flowing with ppl wanting to get in.
Guests staying with Shreyas will definitely have a upper hand when it comes to waiting, as they are obviously given priority over the walk-in guests during meal hours.
and yes, for frequent visitors, they even dole out generous discounts which pleasantly surprised me the last time I stayed with them.
its hard for me to find faults with shreyas, even if I wanted to - not because I like the place, its because they are so immaculate in what they do.
If any one reads this review and wants to check out the place for a stay or dinner, just go - don't bother checking with anyone else or with me for that matter, your wasting valuable time !
I can only recommend this hotel and give 5 stars.
